FPR Launches Second Quarterly Visitor Economy Policy Briefing

Developing and advocating for policies that will create a solid foundation upon which to build Puerto Rico’s economic future, is key to fulfilling the FPR vision. Our quarterly policy briefings highlight current challenges facing our Island’s visitor economy and provide insights and recommendations to address them. These briefings are intended to drive dialogue around sustainable socio-economic development strategies amongst policy and opinion makers, so together we can move towards a more resilient Puerto Rico.

In our second issue, we start by covering the economic impact of poor maritime access in Culebra and Vieques and discuss new legislation to regulate businesses in the sharing economy space. We also examine a recent report that estimates the economic impact of visitor spending on the Island after hurricane María and, finally, we offer 8 digital strategies businesses can use to stay up to date in the latest consumer trends.
