Local businesses are essential to the recovery process of all our communities. As we have mentioned before, business owners participating in our business programs PULSO and [re]ACTIVA, have suffered a great deal due to the effects of Hurricane Fiona on their businesses, and the power outage across the archipelago. That is why we continue developing different initiatives during these times, to support local businesses.
This Friday, PULSO will be presenting a LIVE panel, where they will give local businesses an orientation about the newly announced disaster loans by the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) and the application process. Currently, the SBA is providing Business Physical Disaster Loans, Economic Injury Disaster Loans, Home Disaster Loans, Home Loans and more. If you would like to participate in this event, you can register here.
PULSO will also be providing technical assistance both in-person and virtually. These sessions will provide business owners with personal assistance from our team members to help them fill out their applications and submit properly. The first session will be held in Auditorio Tortuguero, in Vega Baja next Tuesday, October 18th, starting at 9 a.m. You can register for this event here.
The aftermath of a hurricane is a critical time where local business owners may feel in need of extra guidance. [re]ACTIVA is here to help, by providing business owners with free individualized mentorship sessions that will help guide them through the proper steps towards recovery. If you, or someone you know, needs assistance during this emergency, you can schedule an individualized mentorship session here.
