business opportunities that will assist the region to recover economically from the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic and past disasters. One of the key barriers to development lies in the fact that our public entities lack the funds and capacity to implement key initiatives, activate or rehabilitate infrastructure and assets, and provide services or meet needs that are critical to the community. Local nonprofit organizations and smaller municipal entities could fill this gap, but these rural organizations often lack the resources, knowledge, or capacity for pursuing the financial resources that are available to community-based organizations and municipal governments for community and economic development initiatives.<\/p><p>FPR wants to pilot a program of Technical Assistance Services for Obtaining and Managing External Funding to strengthen municipal and non-profit organizations\u2019 capacity and boost their financial stability. In doing so, we will also help improve local infrastructure through community and economic development projects that will benefit the vulnerable residents within the rural municipalities that are in the selected regions. FPR will aid in the process of identifying public and private funds, proposal development, and grant management and administration.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-tab-title elementor-tab-mobile-title\" aria-selected=\"false\" data-tab=\"2\" role=\"tab\" tabindex=\"-1\" aria-controls=\"elementor-tab-content-2142\" aria-expanded=\"false\">INTENDED IMPACT<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<div id=\"elementor-tab-content-2142\" class=\"elementor-tab-content elementor-clearfix\" data-tab=\"2\" role=\"tabpanel\" aria-labelledby=\"elementor-tab-title-2142\" tabindex=\"0\" hidden=\"hidden\"><div class=\"page\" title=\"Page 6\"><div class=\"layoutArea\"><div class=\"column\"><p>This initiative is expected to increase the number, knowledge, and skills of individuals that work at nonprofit or public entities and are trained in the search for and management of external financing. There is an abundance of federal and private funding opportunities for community and economic development projects that will benefit primarily low-income residents of communities outside the metro area, and this type of support will help them access it. As a result, these partners can strengthen and amplify the impact of the services and programs they provide to the communities that they serve.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div
